57Photography, this and that!
All the photos have not been fixed or enhanced, although some might be, but here are some of the photographs I've taken since I got my new digital Sony camera! I will, in time be uploading some video clips as well, but for now, I would just like to share these photos from various places (and of things) I take. If it were legal I'd have a lot of candids of people, when I meet them if they're willing to ham it up for the camera, I'm a ready photographer!
I hope you enjoy, and please feel free to suggest random photography from around New Bern North Carolina. Country snaps are great and easy to find! Looking at them is almost like a breath of fresh air in themselves!

The Candy Machine Collection
I do, and I have a lot of fun doing it. Granted, I might of looked kinda silly taking a photo of candy machines, but they were there, they struck my interest. Also, candy and look at the floor. Let's not let our childen buy their treats from here LOL!
The Lone Tree!
I pass this tree when I am headed into town. It's usually a normal day and nothing special about it, but one day on my way home, the sky was just amazing. So, I did pull off and take the snap. I added a more blue hue over it, and it actually looks nice on a post card. I like to always take high res. pictures because you never know when you're going to wish you could enlarge without grain!
The Blown Glass Trinkets!
These are so pretty, and pretty pricey as well. There is a case with lights on them at the truck stop on my way into town. They have everything from birds, to guitars, flowers.. .just everything. They're very pretty and fragile!

Clouds mean so much to me . When I am alone I watch the clouds and they sooth my reflexes and alter my emotions they are like silent symphony in action

Well, I'm glad you mentioned that, I did a hub on clouds! A fellow hubber (SweetiePie) :) She lives in California and photographs clouds too! So she had me get busy and make a hub of just about clouds! It's in the mix here somewhere! lol! Thank you I'm glad you liked them! I was leaning out the window on that particular one, and my finger is on the edge but I didn't fix it, just went ahead and uploaded it! Oh, and the Sunflower won me a photo contest at another site! There's a story behind it! :) THANKS!!
Kathy, you seem to be a natural. I loved all the shots but I think the tree is my favorite. You said you shoot in high res. Can you do that with any camera?

Hi gr8! Thanks so much. I've actually made cards with the tree photo! I have a few that I've manipulated in various graphic programs and turned into cards. Well, my dad would thank you! He put a lot into me doing photography, and well, sometimes I don't always post my best works, and I did win a few contests, but he had me from darkroom to digital since I was about 13ish.
Well, I'm afraid no, you can't make a high res photo with just any camera, it has to have settings on it to change what you want. High res photos take up a lot of memory and holds less photos on the card, but they are worth it if you carry and extra card because the larger the photo the more you can do with it and enlarge it without the grainy effect. I have a Sony Cyber-Shot. It works with a touch screen and fits in the palm of my hand. I can set it up to take up to an 8mb photo, which turn out great and can be made into a poster from any local drug store. I never post that large of a photo on sites though because I do sell some, and the larger the photos, the more space it takes up on the servers at places, so unless a few slip by I don't ever do that. I usually know if it takes a long time to upload! :) Thanks for your vote :) Although hubpages sends a warning to (it seems like me) that my photos are stolen from google searches, like my "tree" hub, the only one that is NOT my photo is the chair tree, but it was only to show what people can do with a tree stump! I didn't have a camera with me when I saw actual tree stumps being carved, but I do use it as a personal joke... I'm fascinated by a tree stump LOL :) Thanks again!! -Kat
